Bachelor of Arts/Science (General)

The ideal student for these programs has attended more than one college or university, has accumulated more than 60 credits, learns well independently, and wants to maximize previously earned credit and experience to complete a bachelor's degree.

Offered by Thomas Edison State College  (Trenton, New Jersey)

  • No limit on transfer credits as long as they meet program requirements
  • Up to 80 community college credits can be transferred to TESC
  • Flexible program allows you to focus on subjects of interest
  • All TESC courses are distance learning
  • Credit can also be earned through subject exams or portfolios based on experience

Offered by Charter Oak State College (New Britain, Connecticut)

  • No limit on transfer credits, as long as they meet program requirements
  • Up to 90 community college credits can be transferred to Charter Oak
  • Individualized Studies concentration allows you to structure your own program
  • Requires 60 - 90 credits in Liberal Arts subject areas (humanities, social sciences, math, or natural sciences)
  • All Charter Oak courses are distance learning
  • Credit can also be earned through subject exams or portfolios based on experience
  • If you have taken classes at Edison College, your enrollment period at Charter Oak is extended
