Thanks to the District Board of Trustees and our faculty, staff, administrators and students, Edison State College is well on its way to achieving the goals set forth in the current strategic plan, A Decade of Promise: 2010.

We will soon begin development of our next comprehensive, multi-year roadmap. I am certain you have already started thinking about how Edison State College may evolve over the next decade. What things can we do to sustain the College’s growth? How can we best continue the transformation to a state college with expanded baccalaureate degrees, while maintaining our traditional mission of being an open-door college providing opportunities to all who can benefit from a college education? How can we assure that students remain the heart and soul of our post-secondary education system, and that we are responsive to their ever-changing needs?

The working title of Edison State College's new strategic plan will be Destination 2020: Creating a Pathway for our Future.  I look forward to hearing your ideas on how we can make Edison a statewide leader in higher education.
