Minimum Requirements for Adjunct Employment

Faculty teaching general education courses at the undergraduate level or classes designed to transfer to a baccalaureate degree: Requires a doctoral or master's degree in the teaching discipline or a master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline).

Faculty teaching associate degree courses not designed to transfer: Requires a baccalaureate degree in the teaching discipline, or an associate degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline.

Faculty teaching classes for the Center for Professional Development: Requires teaching experience in related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
