Our federally approved indirect cost rate is 39.80%, and Edison State College is authorized to charge this rate on all grants it receives unless otherwise instructed by the granting agency. Edison State College has approved the following guidelines that all departments should adhere to and build into their budgets when preparing a grant application:
All grants $500,000 and over shall have the full federally approved indirect cost rate applied to grant funds unless the grant excludes or limits the rate to be charged.
All grants $100,000-$499,000 shall have a rate of 15% applied to grant funds unless the grant excludes or limits the rate to be charged.
All grants under $100,000 will not have indirect cost applied to them.
