First Year Experience

Building the Foundation for Success

First Year Experience

Philosophy
At Edison State College we value student success and therefore commit to creating a foundation for our students by encouraging the development of critical thinking skills, making the acquisition of knowledge relevant to their lives, providing them with strategies to succeed in life, and giving them opportunities in and outside of the College to apply their learning.

Faculty, staff, and administrators at Edison State College have designed a First Year Experience Program to connect you, the student, to the resources, tools, and programs that are essential for your success in the first year and beyond.  As you begin this exciting and sometimes overwhelming experience, it is important to know there are a number of opportunities and services available to help you make a successful transition.

One very important resource is this website; and just as you are making a transition, so is Edison State College, so please check back often as we add more information about the campus resources available to help you during your first year at Edison State College.
