On-Campus Housing Scholarship

Edison State College is pleased to offer scholarship opportunities to live in the newly opened LightHouse Commons residence hall on the Fort Myers campus.  
                                                                             
The scholarship has been established to assist students with a financial need that may prevent them from living on campus at Edison State College. Criteria for the scholarship program will be determined on a case by case basis.

Award amounts are up to $3,000 for one term only and will be applied directly to the cost of housing. Individual award amounts are dependent on the student’s individual circumstances. 

The priority application deadline for the Summer 2013 Housing Scholarship is April 19, 2013.

To complete the housing scholarship application packet, please:

• Click here to fill out the Housing Scholarship Application.
• If you haven't already applied for student housing fill out a Housing Application. Include your completed housing application (including the $100.00 deposit) with the Housing Scholarship application. 
• Include a 2 page Statement of Financial Need describing how this scholarship will assist you and why you want to live on-campus. Please include a list of extracurricular activities, volunteer work and responsibilities you have outside of the College.

Additional Requirements and Information:

• A complete 2012-2013 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be on file with the Office of Student Financial Aid, Edison State College in order to be considered for the Housing Scholarship. If you have questions or need assistance, visit www.edison.edu/financialaid.
• To be considered for the scholarship students must be enrolled full-time (a minimum of 12 credit hours).
• This scholarship applies only to the cost of housing and requires that the recipient reside in on-campus housing.
